CarrefourSA, as part of its parent company Sabancı Holding's 2050 Net Zero Commitment, is expanding its efforts by implementing a decarbonization project. In addition to Scope 1 and Scope 2, CarrefourSA is also calculating Scope 3 emissions, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in the coming years.
Sustainability is seen as an integral part of our goals and strategies as a Sabancı Holding community. We integrate efficiency and circular economy practices throughout our entire value chain and support investments in these areas. To achieve the announced long-term goals, Sabancı Holding, together with all its companies, has developed a comprehensive roadmap for the community. This roadmap includes over 100 actions and initiatives identified for the short, medium, and long term. Furthermore, the roadmap addresses not only actions related to the climate crisis but also all dimensions of sustainability, including environmental, social, and governance aspects. It also encompasses numerous goals focused on creating value for people and society, which have always been a priority for the community.
Regarding climate change, Sabancı Holding aims to reach 'Net Zero' greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The community is also committed to the 'zero waste' goal, continuously enhancing circular business model practices and reviewing its processes.
CarrefourSA has calculated all Scope 3 emissions, primarily resulting from supply chain activities, from 2017 onwards and has begun reduction efforts.
