We are proud to support the "Save Your Food-Protect Your Table" campaign, launched on May 20, 2020, under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in collaboration with FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations). This project aims to raise awareness and educate society to prevent and reduce food loss and waste.

As a supporter of the project, our goal at CarrefourSA is to contribute to sustainable food systems in both production and consumption processes. We strive to understand the causes of food loss and waste, develop solutions, and raise awareness on this critical issue.

In an era where natural resources are rapidly depleting, and the global population is growing at an unprecedented pace, reducing waste and using our resources efficiently is our greatest responsibility to future generations.

With this vision, we launched the "Don't Judge by Its Look, Give It a Taste" initiative. Our project directly contributes to the Responsible Consumption and Production goal within the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Starting with 45 stores in 2022, our initiative has grown rapidly, reaching 683 stores by 2024, and delivering significant environmental and social benefits.

Through this project, we have prevented approximately 9.5 tons of food waste in the fresh fruit and vegetable category. In 2024, we expanded the project to include dairy products and ready-to-eat food categories, achieving a total reduction of 11% in waste generation. This has allowed us not only to use resources more efficiently but also to offer our customers food at more affordable prices.

With our "Right Way To Live" vision, we are focused on creating value for our environment and society, expanding this transformation to more stores every day.
