The impact of vegetable waste oils mixing with water on our environment is far greater than we might think. Just 1 liter of waste oil can pollute 1 million liters of clean water, posing a serious threat to natural ecosystems.

With this awareness, we launched a project in collaboration with the Tohum Otizm Vakfı (Tohum Autism Foundation) to encourage the proper collection of waste oils and raise environmental awareness. In 2023, we successfully collected 10 tons of waste oil, preventing the contamination of approximately 10 million tons of drinking water.

The revenue generated from the collected waste oil was donated to the Tohum Autism Foundation, supporting the education and development processes of children with autism. In this way, we combine environmental benefits with social impact.

How Does Our Campaign Work?

You can participate in this recycling initiative by bringing your waste oil to the collection points located in our stores. The collected waste oil is included in the recycling process through licensed firms, ensuring it is repurposed without causing harm to the environment.

Why Are Waste Oils Dangerous?

When waste oils mix with water, they cause devastating effects on ecosystems. They reduce the oxygen levels in water, endangering aquatic life, and negatively impact soil quality. Moreover, they can clog sewage systems, leading to infrastructure problems.

For these reasons, properly collecting and recycling waste oils is of critical importance.
