Central Warehouse Quality Management
Our central warehouses are areas where products are stored before being dispatched to all our stores, and where product transfer is carried out with transportation vehicles under cold, frozen, and ambient conditions. These warehouses are critical for product quality control, as they are the stage where goods acceptance occurs before products reach the stores. Each warehouse is equipped with a quality control laboratory. In addition to the checks conducted at the goods acceptance stage, we also inspect the cleanliness and suitability for dispatch of the vehicles used for delivery to our stores. To ensure the continuity of product safety and hygiene practices, we provide food safety and hygiene training to the relevant personnel in our warehouses.

Warehouse Quality Control for Private Label Food Products
To ensure that our private label products are of high quality, safe, legal, and sustainable, we meticulously manage our quality assurance practices. Private label food products dispatched by suppliers to our central warehouses are checked by our Warehouse Quality Assurance Specialists, consisting of food engineers and agricultural engineers, in the quality control laboratories at each goods acceptance process. We only accept products whose test results meet our standards.

In our quality control laboratories, we evaluate criteria such as labels, weight, odor, taste, moisture, pH, brix, appearance, sieve analysis, volume control, and the number of items per kilogram. We check that the label information on private label products complies with the Turkish Food Codex Labeling Regulation. For our Carrefour BIO branded organic products, we verify organic certification and accept only those products that meet the certification requirements.

Warehouse Quality Control for Private Label Non-Food Products
Private label non-food products such as detergents, consumables, and stretch film dispatched by suppliers to our central warehouses are checked at each goods acceptance. In our warehouse quality control laboratories, we evaluate criteria such as labels, pH, alcohol content, net quantity, volume control, thickness, and carrying capacity. We only accept products whose test results meet our standards.

Non-food products are stored in separate areas from food products in our warehouses and are dispatched to our stores in a manner that ensures they do not come into contact with food items.

Warehouse Quality Control for Fruits and Vegetables
In our fruit and vegetable warehouses, we maintain the cold chain to ensure that the freshness of the products is preserved for a longer period. Our Quality Assurance Specialists, consisting of agricultural engineers, perform checks in our quality control laboratories, evaluating criteria such as brix, diameter/length, weight, taste, odor, and appearance. Only products that meet these criteria are accepted.

As a result of our inspections, we provide high-quality and fresh fruits and vegetables on the shelves for our customers.

Warehouse Quality Control for Delicatessen Products
In our delicatessen warehouses, our Quality Assurance Specialists check criteria such as labels, taste, odor, appearance, net/drained weight, volume, pH, moisture, brix, and temperature in our quality control laboratories. We only accept products those test results meet our standards. These products are dispatched from our warehouses to our stores while maintaining the cold chain.

Quality Control on the Seafood Platform
On our seafood platform, we maintain the cold chain to ensure that the products retain their freshness as if they were on the first day. Our Seafood Quality Assurance Specialists inspect the products according to regulations published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Specifically, we check freshness criteria, fishing, size, and species restrictions before accepting the products. This ensures that we provide products that comply with regulations to our customers.

Cold Chain in Our Central Warehouses
We ensure the continuous control of the cold chain, which is critically important for food safety, from the acceptance of products, through storage and dispatch, to their presentation to customers. To prevent any disruption of the cold chain in our fruit and vegetable, delicatessen, and seafood warehouses:

* We monitor and record warehouse temperatures daily. Additionally, temperatures are recorded using digital measurement systems and can be systematically monitored.

* We perform and record temperature checks on vehicles and products arriving from suppliers. We also monitor the temperature data of our refrigerated vehicles, which transport products from our warehouses to our stores, using alarmed remote monitoring systems.
