|

As a joint venture between Sabancı Holding and Carrefour Group, CarrefourSA continues to expand across Turkey through its franchise system. CarrefourSA initiated the Franchise Meetings to engage with small businesses and entrepreneurs in various provinces, with Ankara being the latest stop.

CarrefourSA Executive Committee Member Bulut Batum stated, “We have reached more than 470 small businesses and entrepreneurs in 61 provinces. By continuing our investments in Ankara and surrounding provinces, we will grow our franchise network and contribute to the local economy and employment.”

CarrefourSA, a leading brand in the Turkish retail sector and a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Carrefour Group, reaches nearly 15,000 employees, including franchisees, across 64 provinces and almost 1,200 stores. While delivering the right products at the right prices from reliable producers to its customers, CarrefourSA also continues to grow through its franchise system, which supports small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Through its franchise system, which provides small and medium-sized businesses with the opportunity to trade under the assurance of CarrefourSA, the company has reached over 470 franchisees. CarrefourSA continued its Franchise Meetings in Ankara, aiming to grow with small businesses and entrepreneurs across Turkey. At the meeting held at CarrefourSA Lezzet Arası in Ankara Çay Yolu, CarrefourSA Executive Committee Member Bulut Batum met with potential franchisees and entrepreneurs to discuss CarrefourSA's franchise system and investments.

Supporting the Local Economy and Employment

"To ensure the sustainability of the organized food retail sector's growth, it is essential to work hand in hand with local small businesses and entrepreneurs," said Bulut Batum, Executive Committee Member of CarrefourSA, who continued: "To strengthen organized food retail, it is vital to integrate small businesses and entrepreneurs into the system. That’s why we initiated Franchise Meetings to grow the franchise system, which we launched in 2020, by connecting with potential franchisees in various provinces across Turkey. Through our franchise system, we offer small businesses and entrepreneurs the opportunity to trade under CarrefourSA’s assurance. We do not charge any fees at the entry stage of the franchise system. We integrate local businesses, who know their region and neighborhood best, into our family with the backing of CarrefourSA. Through this system, we contribute to local employment while also ensuring that local producersproducts reach customers under CarrefourSA’s guarantee, supporting the sustainability of their production."

Supporting Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs in Their Commercial Activities

Highlighting the significant potential in Ankara for the franchise system, Batum continued: "In 2020, CarrefourSA was the first in the sector to launch a franchise system. Just in August, new franchisees joined our family in 13 provinces. Since 2020, we have welcomed more than 470 small businesses and entrepreneurs into our system in 61 provinces. Of these franchisees, 60 are women. The greatest advantage of our franchise system, in which we do not charge an entry fee, is that small businesses and entrepreneurs can leverage CarrefourSA’s industry experience and the strength of the Sabancı brand. In addition, our franchisees benefit from the expertise of Carrefour Group, one of the world's leading retail giants. We also offer our 30 years of knowledge, strong purchasing power, logistics network, marketing communications, and robust technological infrastructure to support our franchisees and entrepreneurs. Through the support we provide to entrepreneurs in Ankara and surrounding provinces, we will continue to contribute to the region's economic vitality."
