"CarrefourSA Franchise Meetings" Will Reach Tradespeople and Entrepreneurs Across Turkey

Local Economy Strengthens with CarrefourSA's Franchise System

As a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Carrefour Group, CarrefourSA continues its growth across Turkey through its franchise system. CarrefourSA Executive Board Member Bulut Batum stated that they have launched the first leg of their Franchise Meetings tour in Adana and nearby cities to engage with local tradespeople and entrepreneurs, and that these meetings will continue throughout the year. He added, "Through our potential franchisees in Adana, we aim to contribute to local employment and the economy in the region.

CarrefourSA, a leading brand in Turkey’s retail sector and a joint venture of Sabancı Holding and Carrefour Group, operates 1,100 stores in 60 cities with a workforce of 15,000, including franchise partners. While delivering the right products from the right producers at the right price to its customers, CarrefourSA continues to grow through its franchise system, supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Reaching 425 franchises, CarrefourSA offers small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to trade under the trusted CarrefourSA brand. To expand its network and grow alongside tradespeople and entrepreneurs across Turkey, CarrefourSA has initiated the Franchise Meetings, with the first event held in Adana and surrounding regions. At the meeting, held at Adana M1 CarrefourSA Hyper Lezzet Arası, CarrefourSA Executive Board Member Bulut Batum met with potential franchisees and entrepreneurs, discussing CarrefourSA's franchise system and investments.

Supporting Local Economy and Employment

"Supporting local economic development is crucial for the sustainability of the organized food retail sector," said Bulut Batum. He continued, "It's vital for small businesses and entrepreneurs to be integrated into the system to strengthen organized food retail. With the Franchise Meetings, we aim to reach potential franchise candidates across different regions of Turkey.

Through our franchise system, we offer tradespeople and entrepreneurs the opportunity to conduct business under the trusted CarrefourSA brand, without requiring any entry fees. We integrate local tradespeople, who know their region and community best, into our family under CarrefourSA’s guarantee. This system helps us contribute to regional employment and ensures that local producersproducts reach customers under CarrefourSA's guarantee, supporting sustainable production."

Supporting the Business Activities of Tradespeople and Entrepreneurs

Highlighting the significant potential for the franchise system in Adana, Batum continued, "We were the first to introduce the franchise system in the organized food retail sector. This system not only makes it easier for our customers to access CarrefourSA's quality and experience, but also offers small businesses and entrepreneurs a profitable investment opportunity and employment opportunities for their region. The greatest advantage of our franchise system, which we pioneered for the future and sustainability of our sector, is that tradespeople and entrepreneurs benefit from the strength of both the international Carrefour and Sabancı brands. With our expertise, logistics network, marketing communication, and digital technology infrastructure, our franchisees become part of the CarrefourSA family. Thanks to our strong purchasing power, our franchisees access products at much more affordable prices and pass these savings on to our customers. We are making steady progress towards our three-year goal of 1,000 franchisees, and we are proud and pleased with the growing interest in our franchise system and CarrefourSA’s reliability. In the coming period, we also plan to increase the number of women franchisees from the current 60.
